NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - King James has his two NBA Championships, multiple MVP awards and Olympic gold medals. Now, LeBron wants to give the NFL a try.
LeBron decided to take questions from his 10 million Twitter
followers on Friday night. One of those followers asked if he “would ever consider playing in one pro football game? In any league?”
LeBron’s response was, “I wanna play one NFL game before it’s over.”
The last time LeBron played in an organized football game was his junior year in high school
.
This isn’t the first time LeBron has entertained the idea of playing in the NFL. During the NBA lockout, James sent ESPN’s John Clayton a tweet asking, “When is the deadline for a team to sign a free agent?”
James was planning to answer questions for about 15 minutes but instead stayed on for 50 minutes and answered other questions pertaining to the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade’s status for the upcoming season.
