Deadly Washington 'hate crime' revealed as soldier-on-soldier killing: cops
Army Spc. Tevin Geike celebrated the end of his service the night of the attack. Fellow soldiers told Lakewood cops black men in a car yelled 'cracker' at them as the combat vets walked home to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Police say the attackers were fellow servicemen.

Washington cops have busted three men accused in the fatal stabbing of a soldier — and police say the suspects are soldiers too.
Authorities originally investigated the killing as a hate crime because the dead soldier was white, and the attackers reportedly yelled "cracker" before the stabbing. Further investigation revealed that may not be the case....
