Chris Brown ‘yells gay slur,’ gets arrested for felony assault
WASHINGTON – Raging hip-hop crooner Chris Brown was busted for felony assault after allegedly spewing a gay slur outside a hotel near the White House early Sunday, authorities said.
Early Sunday in DC, he allegedly socked a guy outside the W Hotel on 15th and F Streets at 4:30 a.m. after the man and his buddy jumped into a photo Brown was taking with two female fans.
Brown had been partying at nearby hotspot Park at Fourteenth until 4 a.m., witnesses said.
“I’m not into this gay s–t, I’m into boxing,” Brown, 24, said before punching the man in the face, according to the celebrity gossip Web site TMZ.com.
Brown’s 35-year-old buddy, Chris Hollosy, was also arrested on assault charges, a DC police spokesman said.
They’ll both be held in police custody until their court appearance, set for Monday.
The 20-year-old victim, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
He told TMZ that a “so homophobic” Brown broke his nose and that he may need surgery.
He admitted that he and his pal jumped into the photo before he was struck. He said he’s not a fan of Brown’s but was just hanging outside the hotel with some women when he and his friend seized the opportunity to jump in the picture.
The victim wants prosecutors to press charges against Brown.
The hot-headed singer’s camp said two women were trying to get into Brown’s tour bus — and when they were stopped, two other men intervened.
That’s when the confrontation got heated as Brown and Hollosy acted to prevent them from “trespassing,” sources close to Brown said.
Although Brown is a proponent of same-gender marriage, he’s also been caught making gay slurs in the past.
Back in 2010, Brown reportedly called rival artist Raz B, of B2K, a “homothug.”
Then last year, Brown and his crew got into a parking lot brawl with Frank Ocean and called the openly gay artist a “fa–ot.”
The singer was back in a LA courtroom this summer when it was revealed that he faked hours of community service time. A judge slapped him with an additional 1,000 hours.
Brown is on probation until August 2014.
He’s scheduled to play at the Roseland Ballroom in New York on Tuesday.

Brown is still on probation from his infamous 2009 beatdown of then-girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles on the eve of the 2009 Grammys. If he’s found in violation, Brown could be looking at as much as four years behind bars in California — in addition to any sentence he’d receive if convicted of Sunday’s assault.
