Princess Eugenie follows in Miley Cyrus's footsteps by 'twerking'
Princess Eugenie has been pictured twerking in front of an eight-foot stuffed bear in an image uploaded to Instagram.
Eugenie can be seen bending down in front of the ferocious stuffed animal,
pursing her lips and holding her knees.
The picture was uploaded in March by Eugenie's friend Harry
Wentworth-Stanley, son of the Marquess of Milford Haven, who is also pictured
wagging his finger disapprovingly at the bear.
It is believed to have been taken during a skiing holiday in Verbier earlier
this year, where the princess and elder sister Beatrice, 25, and their parents
the Duke and Duchess of York were joined by Prince Harry and girlfriend Cressida
Bonas.
The popular hip hop move was made infamous by pop star Miley Cyrus, 20, in a
raunchy performance at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, in which she gyrated
her buttocks against 36-year-old singer Robin Thicke. Twerking is now defined in
the online version of the Oxford English Dictionary as: "dance to popular music
in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low,
squatting stance".
Eugenie graduated from Newcastle University earlier this year, and is now
preparing to move to New York to work at auction house Paddle8.
Earlier this week David Cameron was pictured snoozing on a four-poster bed in
the background of an image uploaded to Instagram by his sister-in-law Emily
Sheffield, whose wedding he was attending. The Prime Minister, who had just
returned from the G20 summit in St Petersburg when the photograph was taken, can
be seen barefoot with his ministerial red box beside him. The image has since
been removed.
Ms Sheffield, half-sister of Samantha Cameron, has since Tweeted her dismay at the large amounts of attention the picture has received. On Friday morning she wrote: "Ok so I am the idiot today. For the record I had 8 followers when posted, all family and friends, then forgot to remove it #amateur". She married Etienne Cadestin at Sutton-on-the-Forest Parish Church near York, where Mr Cameron was seen enthusiastically snapping pictures of the happy couple on his Blackberry.
