  The sons of imprisoned-for-life Colombo boss Carmine (Junior) Persico weren’t the first mob princes who were served up to the FBI by longtime snitch Frank (Frankie Blue Eyes) Sparaco. More than 25 years ago, Gang Land has learned, Sparaco worked as an FBI informer about the sons of Joe Colombo, the late Mafia boss for whom Persico's crime family is named. Law enforcement sources say Sparaco began informing on the Colombo brothers – Anthony, Joseph Jr., and Vincent – and scores of wiseguys and mob associates from all five New York families back in 1987, the year he went to prison for home invasion and racketeering. |
