One of the jurors who helped acquit George Zimmerman has signed with an agent to write a tell-all book on the controversial case.
Juror B37 and her lawyer husband will be represented by Martin Literary Management President Sharlene Martin, publishing industry blog Galleycat reported today.
Martin said in a statement that she hoped the book would help readers "understand the commitment it takes to serve and be sequestered on a jury in a highly publicized murder trial and how important, despite one's personal viewpoints, it is to follow the letter of the law."
Martin, based in Mercer Island, Wash., also said the book would help explain "why the jurors had no option but to find Zimmerman 'not guilty,' due to the manner in which he was charged and the content of the jury instructions."
The name of the juror – one of the six women panelists who heard the case – hasn't been made public.
There have been other accounts of high-profile cases turned into books by jurors.
"Madam Foreman: A Rush to Judgment?," written by the foreman and two fellow jurors who were on the panel that acquitted O.J. Simpson of murder in 1995, was "probably the only account of the case that didn't make The New York Times best-seller list," New York magazine noted.
Martin also represented Rafaelle Sollecito's "Honor Bound: My Journey to Hell and Back with Amanda Knox."
