Missouri dad tasered while trying to save son from burning home
Police in Louisiana, Mo., tasered Ryan Miller after the stepdad disobeyed fire officials’ orders and tried to enter a burning building. 3-year-old Riley Miller didn’t survive the blaze.

Riley Miller, 3, was killed by a fire that gutted out his Louisiana, Mo., home on Oct. 31.
Barefoot and dressed in his pajamas, Ryan Miller was ready to dive into a blazing building to save his 3-year-old stepson.
But Missouri police officers tasered the distraught dad before he rushed into flames that even firefighters, dressed head to toe in gear, had to back away from.
By the time fire officials reached Miller’s son, Riley, it was too late.
The boy was dead.
The fire started early in the morning on Oct. 31 in the Miller’s Louisiana, Mo., home. Parents Catherine and Ryan Miller put Riley to bed, then reportedly fell asleep while watching television near the back of the home. Catherine awoke to the smell of smoke.
