PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Famous last words. They're looking into it.
Brown University's president says she's looking into the events that led to a rowdy protest that shut down an on-campus speech by New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
In a campus-wide letter sent Wednesday, Christina Paxson says she is forming a committee made up of faculty and students about the Oct. 29 lecture, which had to be canceled when students and members of the broader community refused to let Kelly speak. They were protesting his department's controversial "stop and frisk" policy.
Ms. Paxson previously called the disruption an affront to the Ivy League university's core values.
In regular-folks parlance, she means they were rude.
Ms. Paxson said the committee will look at how the event was managed. She also says she'll use the findings to help decide if students should be disciplined
