Alite: Junior Gotti's A Mama's Boy; I Was His Babysitter |
He’s living life on his own terms and doesn’t care who knows it. John Alite, the mob hitman who testified against former Gambino family acting boss John (Junior) Gotti, said he has no regrets about his decision to cooperate with federal authorities. But the soft-spoken one time gangster bristled at the notion that his life in the underworld is often defined – incorrectly he said – by his association with the Gotti family. Alite tells Gang Land he chose not to go into the Witness Security Program after his release from prison last year. He moves around on his own and has occasionally visited his old neighborhood in Queens. He said he’s not hiding from anyone. Those who know him understand why he did what he did. Those who don’t ought to mind their own business.
