The newest episode of the TV One Network show ‘Find Our Missing’ will hit home. The show airs on Monday night (Feb. 18) and revisits the case of Kelly Allen – which was also featured in the first season of the series.
Kelly Allen disappeared in 2007 from a friend’s apartment in a suburb of St. Louis. Kelly’s friends and family continued to search for the 20-year-old and never gave up hope that she was still alive.
Five years later, a family member spotted someone who bears a resemblance to Kelly and snaps a photo. Find Our Missing revisits the case to help determine if the woman in the photo is in fact the person who has been missing for almost six years.
Find Our Missing, a documentary series hosted by Emmy and Golden Globe award winner S. Epatha Merkerson, is designed to put names and faces to people of color who have disappeared without a trace.
According to the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc., African Americans make up 13% of the population yet account for 33% of missing persons.
Each episode tells the story of the missing person or persons, beginning with the day they vanished and the frantic searches by loved ones and investigators to find them, delving into the mystery surrounding the disturbing circumstances with the goal of sparking new findings in these cold cases.
‘Find Our Missing’ will air on TV One this Monday (Feb. 18) at 8 p.m. CST. Check local listings for channels. For more information on the show and/or the network, visit http://www.tvoneonline.com/. Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Kelly Allen is urged to call the St. Louis Police Department at (314)
